Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, an expert in entertainment, spoke on the debate surrounding actress Yvonne Nelson’s recently released book, “I am not Yvonne Nelson,” during a recent visit on UTV.
According to Baidoo, rapper Sarkodie is free to file a lawsuit against Nelson if he thinks the book contains defamatory material.
Baidoo emphasized the different legal options open to Sarkodie for disputing the allegations in the book. Sarkodie might file a lawsuit for slander or invasion of privacy, he said.
Baidoo also emphasized that Sarkodie had a variety of options for responding, including authoring his own book or deciding not to answer at all.
Nelson’s book has generated discussion online because of its surprising disclosures and mentions of numerous people.
Anyone mentioned in the book has the right to file a lawsuit if they feel their reputation has been damaged by its contents, according to Baidoo.
